How to decorate with Metallics

Although metallics can seem more stark and cooler than other materials used in the home. Within an interior, just a touch of glimmering metal can make a space instantly more glamorous. They provide a contrasting industrial edge and if you strike the right balance can add pockets of warmth to any space.

The trick with using metallic pieces in a single space is to mix them with different, softer textures to balance them out. One of the best ways to incorporate metallics is through accessories. Lighting, mirrors, or smaller furnishings such as picture frames, trays and votives such as our Emillio, Kula and Halina votives dotted around a space povide a classic touch that doesn't overpower a rooms feel.

Play around with texture and colour by using a mixture of copper, brass, silver and gold accents. Brass and copper pair nicely with darker colors such as black, navy and even purple, while chrome and stainless steel are perfect with neutral palettes such as grey, white and blue.
